And a wealth of cables means unavoidably a cable spaghetti if you don’t apply proper cable management. Indeed, the magical keyword to avoid this unruly bunch of cables is to apply cable management. But what is cable management exactly and can you give some examples? Of course, we can but let’s first define cable management.
What is cable management?
Cable management is a process whereby we try to bring order to chaos. In this case the chaos of cable clutter also known as cable spaghetti. The objective of cable management is to create a clean and neat environment and to avoid the risk of accidentally unplugging cables or pulling down screens or laptops when falling over those cables. Cable management can be done by using household tips and tricks like zip ties and duct tapes but also by using professional cable management tools like cable sleeves, cable clips and cable boxes.
Some cable management examples
Automated roll on – roll off tools: These tools can be used to shorten the cable length. And a smaller cable length means less cable clutter chance. They often consist of an automated wheel which wraps the cables to the minimal length required.
